Friends may visit with the family from 4-7:30 PM on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Rd., Wayne. A 7:30 PM Funeral Service will be held after the visitation hours.
Al Pabon age 73 a 25 year resident of Wayne died peacefully on Sunday, April 29, 2012.
He was born in Brooklyn New York and when he was 13 years old the family moved to Fair Lawn New Jersey. He lived in New Milford before moving to Wayne 25 years ago.
Al was a volunteer fireman in New Milford from 1962 – 1973.
He was a Scout Master for the Englewood Boy Scouts of America for several years.
Al graduated from Bergen Technical High School and worked for the Pallisades Motors in Engelwood. He soon found a partner and opened A&D Auto Body in Pallisades Park which he has operated for over forty years, and is still in operation today.
Loving husband of Joyce (nee Walker) Pabon, devoted father of Phyllis Falsetta and her husband Andrew of Hancock, NY and the late Laura Pabon (2012); cherished grandfather of Matthew Pabon, Kristen, Jessica, Lindsay Schoonmaker, and Caroline Dix; much loved great-grandfather of Devin and Derick Pabon and Dante Perillo; dear brother of Maxine Mainardi of Glen Rock, Anthony Pabon of Saugerties, New York, Theresa Pabon of Woodstock, New York, and Ann Bauch and her husband Steven of Hurley, New York.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the “Valley Hospice” c/o Foundation Office, 223 North Van Dien Ave, Ridgewood NJ 07450 would be appreciated.
