Albert Vincent Bonadies age 80 of Wayne died quietly and peacefully at home on Thursday, September 14, 2006. At his passing he was receiving the loving care of his family.
He was born in Jersey City and had lived in Paterson most of his life before moving to Wayne nine years ago.
He received his formal education at Paterson Eastside High School graduating with the Class of 1944.
Mr. Bonadies was a packer for Continental Can Company in Paterson where he worked for twenty-four years before his retirement in 1981.
His family will always remember him as a very hard worker who consistently held two jobs, always trying his best to provide for his family.
Albert and Jean had a “good and loving” marriage together for fifty-two years.
Albert enjoyed golfing at the Orchard Hill Golf Course in Paramus as well as league bowling at the Paterson Bowling Lanes formerly owned by the Graves family.
He was a parishioner of the Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church in Wayne. He previously, while living in Paterson, was a parishioner for many years of Blessed Sacrament RC Church in Paterson.
He leaves his family with many fond memories of a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Especially memorable were August vacations, for a week each year, to Wildwood where the family swam together and walked the boardwalk.
While living in the Riverside section of Paterson for many years, he took much pride and dedicated a great deal of hard work to having his yard impeccably landscaped and in tip-top condition. He had a hobby of growing fig trees which took a lot of work because every winter he had to specially protect them from the local climate.
Surviving are his loving wife Jean (nee Stumboli) Bonadies; one son Ralph Bonadies and his wife Terriann of Richboro, Pennsylvania; two daughters Jean Jurik and her husband Paul of Eatontown, Kathleen Cipoletti and her husband Robert of Pompton Plains; two brothers Vincent Bonadies and his wife Viola of Paterson and Ralph Bonadies and his wife Betty of Lincoln Park; one sister-in-law Dolores Bonadies of Port Saint Lucie; and nine grandchildren: Kyle and Colette Bonadies, Nicole, Jeremy, Joshua and Joseph Jurik, Cynthia, Kailyn and Steven Cipoletti.
His brother Arthur Bonadies died previously.
Those planning an expression of sympathy, in Albert’s memory, are asked to consider the Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church or Passaic Valley Hospice, 783 North Riverview Drive, Totowa 07512.
