Services
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 8:30 AM from the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne then to Our Lady of The Valley RC Church, Wayne where at 9:30 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered.
Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 3-5 PM.
Anna Leavy (nee LeJava) age 93 of Wayne died Friday, December 1, 2006 at the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff.
She was born in Passaic and had lived there and Clifton before moving to Wayne seventeen years ago.
Mrs. Leavy was a seamstress in the garment manufacturing industry in Passaic for many years.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of The Valley RC Church in Wayne.
Anna was a volunteer at the Wayne Foundation for the Handicapped in Wayne where her son Tim was an assembler. She was also a member of Our Lady of The Valley Church Seniors.
She was a wonderful and dedicated mother who just wanted the best of care for her son Tim who had disabilities. Her primary and loving concern was for his care after her death and as things turned out he passed away in July of this year which gave her a measure of relief.
Anna was predeceased by her husband Thomas J.H. Leavy and her son Thomas “Tim” Leavy in July of 2006.
Surviving are her one nephew Dr. Richard LeJava of Hyannis, Massachusetts and one niece Joyce Pasqualin of Ringwood.
