A Memorial Mass honoring Tony’s life will be held at St. Mary’s RC Church, 17 Pompton Ave. Pompton Lakes, on Monday October 5, 2026 at 11am. Please meet directly at the church. The Mass will be followed by a repast.
It is with profound sadness that the family of Anthony C. Landy “Tony” of Wayne, NJ announces his passing on September 25, 2026 at the age of 80.
Tony was born in Harrison, NJ, where he lived with his mother Olympia, father Thomas, and siblings Thomas, Carole and Joseph. He graduated from Harrison high school and went on to study at Rutgers.
Tony met his wife, Mary, in 1985. They were married in July of 1987. They welcomed their first daughter, Taylor, in 1989 and their second daughter, Toni-Marie, in 1994. Tony had three children from a previous marriage, Pamela, Danae and Christine.
Tony drove a truck across the east coast for CNC Cola before deciding to open his own business. His liquor store and bar, Melo Liquors, had many years of success. He was a devoted businessman and his store became a neighborhood staple, through which he developed meaningful relationships and created community.
Tony was a music lover, a movie connoisseur, and a Jets fan. He enjoyed crabbing and golfing, and was an adventurous eater, always trying new food and restaurants. He had a great sense of humor, was fluent in sarcasm and had the ability to comfort his loved ones with his presence alone.
Tony was Catholic, and prayed the Rosary daily. He was a dedicated son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Surviving are Tony’s wife Mary, daughters: Taylor Liloia (Patrick Liloia), Toni-Marie Landy, Pamela McGrath, Danae Noonan (Steve Noonan), and Christine Greco; and his grandchildren: Alexander Liloia, Dominic Liloia, Mia Liloia, Joseph Greco, John Greco, Julia Noonan, Zachary Noonan, Buddy McGrath, Brian McGrath, and Geno McGrath. Tony was preceded in death by his mother, father and siblings.
