Services
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the First Reformed Church Cemetery, Pompton Plains.
Betty Reger(nee Hand) age 72 of Wayne died Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at Saint Josephs Wayne Hospital, Wayne.
She was born in Paterson and raised in West Milford having lived in Wayne for the past fifty-two years.
Betty graduated from the Butler High School, Butler with the class of 1952.
She was a cashier for the ACME Supermarket Corporation in Pompton Lakes and Wayne stores for thirty years and later worked for the Wayne Township Public Library, Wayne for ten years before retiring in 1994.
Mrs. Reger was a member of the Preakness Baptist Church, Wayne where she served as a Sunday School teacher and Deaconess.
Beloved wife of forty-six years to the late Charles Albert Reger(1998), whom she married when she was just out of high school; loving mother of Patricia Angotti and her husband Christopher of Pompton Lakes and Glenn Reger and his wife Tatiana of Bloomingdale; cherished grandmother of Christopher and Courtney Angotti and Kyra and Glenn Reger; loved sister of Ann Akers of West Milford, Dot Miller and her husband Donald of Vernon, Phoebe Schnoer of Hamburg, Shirley Riccardi and her husband Rick of Stockholm, Beverly Hand of Princeton, Hope Clark of Hamburg and the late Joseph Hand(2005); much loved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 5005 LBJ Fwy., Ste. 250, Dallas, TX 75244 would be appreciated.
