Catherine Nestico, (nee Giannetti), passed away on Sunday April 19, 2020.
“Pat”, as she was known, grew up in West Paterson, known today as Woodland Park, with the her sisters and brothers. She resided in Pompton Lakes for fifty years.
From an early age, Pat’s father, Alfred Giannetti would take her to baseball games where she developed a passion for the sport. Pat graduated from Passaic Valley High School, in 1951 and went on to work for Manhattan Shirt Company in Paterson. Later on she worked in the Passaic County Court house in Paterson for 20 years.
Pat met her husband, Patrick Nestico and they married in 1957.
Pat had a generous heart, with a no nonsense personality that was often on display. After retirement, Pat lived a full and busy life spending time on Cape Cod with her granddaughters, taking long rides into the country and, loving the lights on Broadway where she loved checking off all the plays she had the privilege of seeing.
Pat was predeceased by her husband Patrick Nestico, her daughter Kathryn Nestico, her son-in-law Eric Helm, her sister Josephine and husband John Landorio, and her brother Salvatore Gainnetti and wife Peggy. She is survived by her daughter Jean Helm, son-in-law Jeff Kolibas, two granddaughters: Rachael and Caroline; her two sisters: Sandra Turula and husband Vincent, and Millie Lixie and husband Francis; her brother Samuel Gianetti and wife Anita; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dear friend Sue Main and her loving family.
