Clara C. Dressler, age 90 of Glenwood, NJ, died peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2013.
Clara was born in Jersey City and graduated high school there. She was employed as a proofreader for Flintkote Company in Rutherford for twenty nine years before retiring.
Clara had lived with her sister Shirley Abner and her previously deceased husband, William (2011) in Wayne for nearly forty five years before moving to Glenwood, NJ about twelve years ago. She resided there with her nephew John and his wife Karen and family.
Clara was a big NY JETS football fan, which often caused her more aggravation than joy. Nonetheless, she stood by her team and was a loyal fan. Watching JETS football on Sunday was a special treat for her and she always had a tall Manhattan (with three cherries) to enjoy during the game.
Clara is survived by her sister; Shirley Abner of Wayne, her three nephews; John Abner and his wife Karen of Glenwood, NJ, Robert Abner and his wife Luann of Pequannock, and James Abner and his wife Michelle of Point Pleasant, NJ, great-nieces and great-nephews; Jennifer Pedri and her husband Eric of Colorado, Kelly Abner of South Florida, Kyle Abner and his wife Lauren of Tokyo, Japan, Daniel Abner of New York, NY, and Summer and Dawson Abner of Point Pleasant, NJ.
