September 10, 2023
Clementine “Tina” Walsh peacefully left us in the morning on 10 September, 2023. Tina was born to Joseph Kuss and Jennie Kuss (nee Szczech) of Passaic, New Jersey and has been a resident of Wayne since 1976. Her parents chose her name after seeing the movie My Darling Clementine. Growing up in Clifton, she often spent time with family at her grandparents’ dairy farm in Belle Mead. After high school, she attended Seton Hall University; where she graduated with a degree in history.
After graduating, she became an English teacher and thrived with being able to help others master the language. When her time teaching came to an end, she began a career in the customer service field; working for Duro-Test Lighting (Fairfield, NJ) and GAF in Wayne. If anyone had a question on lighting or roofing… she knew the answer. After retiring in 2011, she experienced a quiet life; where she enjoyed the animals that would come to the house and feeding the deer that would wait by the door.
Surviving Tina are her husband of forty-nine years (Ed Walsh), her sons (Edward Kuss-Walsh and Ian Walsh), grandchildren (Liam, Keira, and Victoria), her God children (Melissa Purdie and John Wilczek), her niece (Eileen Kosch) and nephew (Richard Swift), and many beloved cousins… She will be greatly missed by family, friends, and neighbors who will all remember her for her caring and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Wayne First Aid Squad.
