Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 PM on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Rd., Wayne.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
Cornelius “Neil” L. Van Der Stad, age 84, on Monday, April 3, 2017.
Neil was a self-employed Electrical Contractor in Wayne for many years.
He was a member of the Ebenezer Netherland Reformed Church of Franklin Lakes.
He is survived by his loving wife Grace (Bandstra); his devoted children Chris Van Der Stad, Jacqueline (Ronald) Van Grouw, Alan (Sarah) Van Der Stad; loved siblings Ida (Jacob) Van Dalen, Leonard (Alyce) Van Der Stad, David (Lois) Van Der Stad; cherished grandfather of Amy and Megan Van Der Stad, Glenn (Courtney) Van Grouw, Allison (Joseph) Van Vugt, Andrea (James) Okken, Darlene (Thomas) Kievit, Denise and Renae Van Grouw, Melissa and Dylan Van Der Stad; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Hartman Van Der Stad in November of 2016.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Netherland Reformed Christian School, 164 Jacksonville Rd., Pompton Plains, NJ 07444 would be appreciated.
