Services
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 9 AM from the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne then to Our Lady of Consolation RC Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpk., Wayne where at 10 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered.
Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
EBERENZ - David Allen, 94, of Wayne died Saturday, September 09, 2006 while receiving the loving care of his family at home.
David was born in Ancon, Canal Zone, Rep. of Panama on December 16, 1911. Devoted husband of Helen (nee Bodrogi) Eberenz of sixty-nine years. He worked for the Public Works Department of the U.S. Naval Air Station in Coco Solo and in Coco Solito for twenty-seven years, having retired and moved to Wayne in 1957. He later was a toll collector for the NJ Turnpike Authority, New Brunswick for twenty years having retired in 1977.
David was Exalted Ruler for the Cristobal Lodge #1542 B.P.O.E. in the Canal Zone.
He and his wife Helen are charter members of Our Lady of Consolation RC Church, Wayne.
Devoted father of Diane Wilkins and her husband Ted of Garfield, Sylvia LaCorte and her husband Ralph of Wesley Chapel, FL, the late David Eberenz and his late wife Diane(nee Casiello) and the late Michael Allen Eberenz; loving grandfather of Theresa Detrick and her husband Andy, Rachel LaCorte, Ralph LaCorte and his wife Sarah, Jack LaCorte and the late Michael Robert Eberenz; great-grandfather of Samantha Detrick. Dear Brother of the late Leo and Jack Eberenz, Marcella Heim, Virginia Williams and Ruth Turner; much loved uncle to several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Valley Hospice, 15 Essex Rd., Paramus, NJ 07652 would be appreciated.
