Dean “Deano” Evan Ward, III, age 36, of Oakland, formerly of Pompton Lakes passed Monday, November 29, 2021.
He was born in Pequannock and raised in Pompton Lakes where he lived for thirty-five years before moving to Oakland in 2020.
Deano graduated from Pompton Lake High School with the Class of 2004 and worked at the family business Haward Corporation in North Arlington where he was a Production Manager. For the past five years he was worked as a Public Safety Telecommunicator for the Bergen County Communications Center in Mahwah.
He was an avid sports fan and was a passionate New York Mets and Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed collectable cards and comic books in the Marvel Universe. Deano loved life, had an infectious laugh and just enjoyed being around people. He was the kind of person who always saw the good in others, was the Best Man at many weddings and always had a funny Best Man Speech.
Deano was the loving son of Dean Evan Ward, Jr. and the late Teri Ferrari (d. 2005) and her surviving husband Rick; dearly loved boyfriend of Brittany Brennan of Oakland; cherished grandson of Arlene Ward of Wayne and the late Dean Evan Ward, Sr. (d. 2006); loved nephew and God-Son of Jane Miles and her husband Tom of Wayne; and adored cousin and God-father of Ciana Miles of Philadelphia. He will also be dearly missed by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Tunnels to Towers Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
