Funeral services will be held 10 AM on Monday, October 30, 2006 at the United Methodist Church, 99 Parish Drive, Wayne.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, October 29, 2006 from 2-5 PM at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne.
Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
Doris Stickle (nee Pape) age 98 of Whiting died Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at the Southern Ocean County Hospital, Stafford.
She was born in Hoboken and lived in Newark and Wayne before moving to Whiting thirty-three years ago.
Mrs. Stickle graduated from the Fawcett Art School, Newark with the class of 1926.
Doris was a member of the Women’s Club of Crestwood # 3 in Whiting and formerly a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Fire Company #1 in Wayne.
Mrs. Stickle was a bookkeeper for Mountain View Electric for many years and had previously worked for Tiffany & Company, Forest Hills section of Newark and the Measurements Corporation in Boonton.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Wayne where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years.
Surviving are two daughters Virginia Marinella of Barnegat and Susan Seltenheim of Wayne; one step-son Edmund Stickle of Asheville, NC; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by her second husband Dudley J. Stickle(1976) and her first husband Leslie Wilde; one son Richard Wilde(1999); one brother Richard Pape(1986) and one sister Virginia Grieves(1980).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Grieves Memorial Garden, 99 Parish Drive, Wayne, NJ 07470 would be appreciated.
