Douglas John Mol, age 52, of Lincoln Park passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, December 16, 2021.
Douglas was born in Passaic and raised in Clifton. He was the only child to Henry and Wilma Mol. Douglas attended Clifton High School and graduated with the class of 1987. He worked alongside his dad in carpentry for about seventeen years. Douglas then made a career change and became an over the road trucker for about twelve years. Douglas then worked for Brahma Construction for the next five years until his passing.
On May 8, 1993 Douglas married the love of his life Donna Kievit. After getting married, they settled in Lincoln Park where they have been ever since. During their time living in Lincoln Park, Douglas and Donna welcomed the births of their two daughters Amanda and Alyssa. Douglas enjoyed his work in carpentry and took great pride in his craft. He relished creating and installing custom woodworking. Douglas and his family were members of the Ebenezer Netherland Reformed Church in Franklin Lakes for many years. Apart from all of Douglas’ interests and talents, his greatest passion was for his family. Nothing in the world meant more to Douglas than providing for and spending time with his wife and children. Douglas was a truly special person who touched the lives of many people and will be sincerely missed by everyone that knew him.
Douglas is survived by his wife Donna (nee Kievit) of Lincoln Park, two daughters; Amanda Mol and her fiancé Daniel DePaul of Lincoln Park, and Alyssa Mol of Lincoln Park. Douglas was predeceased by his parents Henry and Wilma Mol.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Douglas’ family to defer his excess medical expenses would be greatly appreciated. Donations can be made to Donna Mol, 24 Pleasant Ave, Lincoln Park, NJ 07035.
