Funeral services will be held 10 AM on Friday, January 5, 2006 at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne.
Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa next to his son Thomas.
Elmer Brookman age 97 of Toms River, Naples, FL and formerly of Elmwood Park died on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at the Green Acres Manor, Toms River.
He was born in Clifton and lived in Elmwood Park for fifty years having most recently lived in Toms River and Naples, FL.
Mr. Brookman was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service, Paterson for forty-one years having retired in 1970. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers for over seventy-five years.
He was an outdoorsman who loved golf, bowling, fishing and hunting and will always be remembered as an outgoing, friendly person who loved to talk to others.
Beloved husband of sixty-nine years to Madeline(nee Balmer) Brookman; loving father of Joan Haussmann and her husband Robert of Wayne and Naples, FL and the late Thomas Alan Brookman(1979); cherished grandfather of Karen Johnson Poyda and her husband David and one great-grandson Robert Johnson.
