Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6 PM.
Funeral services will be held Monday 11 AM from the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne then to Our Lady of The Valley RC Church, Wayne where at 12 Noon a Funeral Mass will be celebrated.
Eugene J. Motyka age 68 of Wayne died Friday, November 17, 2006 after an extended illness. He died quietly and peacefully.
He was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island and had lived in Paterson and Prospect Park before moving to Wayne fourteen years ago. He was a member of the Spectrum For Living Group Home in Wayne.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of The Valley RC Church in Wayne.
Eugene was an assembler at the Clifton Elks Lodge Workshop and then later he also held the same position at the Wayne Foundation For The Handicapped in Wayne. He served as the Social Secretary at the Wayne Foundation for over eighteen years.
Gene had an innate ability to organize people around him into activities and was forever arranging the next event to take place with family, friends and coworkers. He was very well respected by those who knew him and in human crisis situations he would be the ambassador of peace and tranquility. He also loved to sing and would often sing in choruses and was quite adept at singing Polish songs.
Beloved son of the late Eugene and Florence Motyka; Loving brother of Louis Motyka, Michael Motyka and Pauline McGrogan.
He was predeceased by his father Eugene Motyka Sr. in 1991, His Mother Florence Motyka in 1996 and his brother Thomas Motyka in 1960.
