Frances Moya (nee Delgado) age 91 of Wayne died on Friday August 24th, 2007 peacefully at home while surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Frances was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She came to this country when she was a teenager and settled in Manhattan. She then moved to Riverdale, Bronx and lived there for forty six years until moving to Wayne, NJ two years ago.
Frances was a medical secretary for Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and a secretary for Manhattan College in New York, until her retirement 18 years ago. She belonged to the Preakness Valley United Reformed Church of Wayne.
Frances’ family remembers her as being an avid reader and quite a history buff; she loved birds, nature, and loved being surrounded by flowers. She was very much a lover of music and art and she painted beautifully. Frances loved to travel and was a strong believer in the education of children. Her family also remembers her as being very spiritual and having a deep and profound wisdom. There was nothing more important to Frances than her family and her many cherished friends.
Frances is survived by her Daughter Rosa Conte of Wayne and her son Robert Rosado of Hollywood, FL; nine Grandchildren: Sandra, Anthony, Michael, Kristy, Robert, Frances, Christopher, Randal, and Russell; ten Great Grandchildren: Jonathon, Dominic, Gianna, Amanda, Natalie, Jessica, Matthew, Madeleine, Kyle, and Brandon; and three Great Great Grandchildren: Arthur Arian and Michala.
Both troubled times and sunshine days Were present in her years
With memories strong she carried on Now death holds no more fear
I wonder does she realize The blessings she bestowed
On those around who hold her dear And reap the love she sowed
And maybe she is now aware Of what her life displayed
That God was watching from above And walked with her each day
He knows about her every need The pain she, He bears
And now She’ll never be alone Forevermore…. He’s there
