Frank Flaccavento age 92 of Geneva, Illinois and formerly of Maywood, NJ, died on Tuesday, July 26, 2011.

Frank was born in New York, New York, and spent his formative years in West New York, NJ. He graduated from Memorial High School in West New York with the class of 1937.

Franks professional career spanned thirty years with ITT of Nutley, NJ, where he was a Designer and Draftsman. He retired from ITT in 1984.

Frank and his beloved wife Mary (nee Reo) were ‘high school sweethearts’, having met at Memorial High School in West New York. They were married in 1941 and shared sixty eight years of loving and devoted marriage together before Mary’s passing in 2009. They moved to Maywood in 1947 and lived there, raising their family, until Frank retired. They then lived in Crestwood Village, Whiting, NJ, for nearly 20 years before moving to Sienna Village in Wayne to be closer to their daughter, Denise Feldman. In 2006, Frank and Mary moved once again to Geneva, Illinois to live with their daughter, Maryann Snook. Frank was truly blessed in his autumn years to have spent so much time with his daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Frank and Mary were a well-travelled couple. They had toured throughout the United States, Europe, the far-east, and their most favorite destination of all was Italy. When at home, Frank enjoyed woodworking; building small projects such as toys and bird houses. He had very skilled hands and was particularly adept at highly detail projects.

Frank is survived by his two daughters; Denise Feldman and her husband William of Wayne and Maryann Snook and her husband Alfred of Geneva, Illinois, as well as eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
