A Memorial visiting will be held Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 6 – 8 PM.
Frank Urban age 75 of Piney Flats, Tennessee passed away on Friday, October 9, 2009 at The Courtyard Assisted Living in Johnson City, Tennessee. His passing was quiet and peaceful after receiving the continuous daily bedside care of his wife Jeanne.
He was born in Lodi and lived there receiving his formal education at Lodi Grammar School and Lodi High School graduating with the Class of 1951. He later lived in Wayne for twenty-five years before enjoying his retirement years in Piney Flats, Tennessee.
Frank was an Auto Body specialist and worked in that industry most of his life.
For the last ten years he had a very difficult time with his health. Between paint particles and sanding dust from work he developed emphysema and had great difficulty with his breathing
In his spare time he especially enjoyed taking his boat out on Lake George in New York State and fishing.
Frank was gifted with an extraverted personality that loved to mingle with people and within his family they referred to him as “Friendly Frank”.
Surviving are his loving wife of twenty-five years Jeanne E. (nee Decker) Urban; One daughter Jennifer Urban of Paterson; one son Michael Louis of Piney Flats, Tennessee; one sister Ruth Viera of Napa Valley, California; one step sister Carol Vanderlinda of Las Vegas, Nevada; cherished grandfather of Linda Vigilione, Jaime and Christopher Albut. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Lillian (nee Rozporka) Urban; his sister Audrey Friedman, two daughters Cindy Urban and Wendy Albut.
