Services
Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 2-4, 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held 8 AM on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 from the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne then to Our Lady of Consolation RC Church, Wayne where at 9 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered.
Entombment will be in Saint Johns Cemetery, Queens, NY.
Girolama “Mamie” Parisi (nee Mangiaracina) age 90 on Friday, September 22, 2006 of Clifton, VA, formerly of Wayne.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Wayne, NJ for ten years and Boca Raton, FL before moving to Clifton, VA two years ago.
Mamie was a pattern maker and sample maker in the garment industry for over fifty years having worked for Limelight Modes, NYC before retiring in 1981.
Mamie was very family oriented having enjoyed sewing, cooking and reading. She will be remembered for being patient, kind and loving.
Beloved wife of fifty-two years to the late Nicholas Parisi (1988); loving mother of Josephine Acquaviva and her husband Tom of Wayne, Frances Troccoli and her husband Frank of Clifton, VA and Angelo Parisi of Mt. Vernon, NY; much loved sister of Margaret Diecidue of Boca Raton, FL and Jean Roniger of New Hyde Park, NY and the late Marie Mauceri(2003); cherished grandmother of Kara Hadfield of Ridgewood, NJ, Lori Negrin of Clifton, VA, Renee Troccoli of Charlotte, NC and Nicholas Parisi of Mt. Vernon, NY and the late Paul Acquaviva(September 11, 2001); devoted great-grandmother of Jack, Caroline and George Hadfield, Sarah and Paul Acquaviva and Mark E. Negrin.
