Grace Monteleone (nee Mineo) "Gaye,” age 85 of Wayne died Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the Saint Josephs Wayne Hospital, Wayne.
She was born and raised in Bloomfield where she lived before moving to Wayne eleven years ago.
Mrs. Monteleone was a manicurist for upscale salons in the Short Hills, Milburn area for many years.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Valley RC Church, Wayne.
Gaye loved to dance, especially Ballroom Dancing, which she did with her husband Louis frequently. Gaye and Louis also taught themselves Country Line Dancing.
She will be remembered as a loving, devoted grandmother who had a "heart of gold". Gaye was generous to a fault, loved to sing, always had a joke, and if you gave her a microphone you were in for a long session.
Beloved wife of sixty years to the late Louis Monteleone(2003); loving mother of John B. Monteleone and his wife Gail of Wall Township; sister of Mary Cirigliano of Brick and Rose Cece of Hazlet, Tony Mineo of Union and the late Theresa Monnetti, Annie Lepiscopo, Jack, Carmen and Leonard Mineo; cherished grandmother of John B.
