Funeral services will be held 9 AM on Saturday September 23, 2006 at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.
Herbert E. Roscoe age 80 of Wayne died Monday, September 18, 2006 at the Lakeview Subacute Care Center, Wayne.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Hartford, CT., Bloomfield, Morrisville, PA and Yardley, PA, and Montclair having lived in Pompton Lakes for forty-five years before moving to Wayne three years ago.
Herbert graduated from Bloomfield High School, Bloomfield with the class of 1943.
Mr. Roscoe was a shopkeeper at the Greystone Hospital, Morris Plains for many years before retiring in 1992.
He was formerly a member of the Pompton Lakes Republican Club and enjoyed puzzles and television and movie trivia.
Beloved husband of forty-five years to Jane (nee Van Winkle) Roscoe(1994); devoted father of Mark A. Roscoe and his wife Grace of Land-O-Lakes, FL and Nancy Boyle and her husband Patrick of Pompton Lakes; much loved father-in-law of Cheryl Roscoe of Butler; brother of the late Robert Roscoe and the late Dorothy Gray; loving uncle of Susan Gray of Bloomfield; cherished grandfather of Tracie Boyle, Danielle, Nicole, Tiffany and Brittany Roscoe.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Chilton Hospital Foundation, 97 West Parkway, Pompton Plains, NJ 074444 would be appreciated.
