Jacalyn “Lynn” Faber (nee Borduin) age 54 of Haledon died Sunday, October 1, 2006 at home while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Paterson and lived in Hawthorne before moving to Haledon twenty-five years ago.
Mrs. Faber graduated from Eastern Christian School, Haledon with the class of 1969.
Lynn was a salesperson for Faber Brothers Broadloom Company, Haledon for the past thirty-one years.
She was a member of the Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, Wyckoff.
Lynn was a member and past-president of the Manchester Junior Women’s Club, North Haledon.
Lynn will always be remembered as a person who loved to give parties, enjoyed Bunko, travel and reading. Her generosity, sense of humor and loving spirit will be missed. After organizing more than sixteen family trips to Disney World her children finally said they wouldn’t go anymore…so Lynn left the kids at home and took her mother and friends instead. She loved the sun and going to the beach with her mother and sister. She also enjoyed her trips to Florida with her husband Jake and dear friends Marilyn and Joe, Linda and Roger.
Beloved wife of thirty-six years to Jake G. Faber; devoted mother of Darlene Gillespie and her husband Thomas of Oakland and Jacalyn D. Faber of Haledon; cherished daughter of Helen Borduin of Wayne and the late William “Bill” Borduin(1977); loving sister of Patricia Steiginga and her husband Jack of Hawthorne, Barry Borduin and his wife Judi of Kennesaw, GA and James “Jim” Borduin and his wife Connie of Duluth, GA; much loved daughter-in-law of Jacob Faber, Jr. and his wife Dorothy of Haledon; loved sister-in-law to Jon Vermeulen and his wife Grace of Haledon; loving grandmother of Kyle, Joshua and Zachary Gillespie and adored aunt to many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
