Friends of Jake Van Dyken are invited to visit the family at his home in Wayne (55 Sheffield Road), on Wednesday, October 24 between 1-5pm to share memories.
Dr. Jacob John Van Dyken died suddenly on October 19, 2007 of natural causes.
"Jake" is survived by his wife Gail, his daughters Lara Roby and her husband Peter, Leigh Kelly and her husband Eric, his son John "Jake" Van Dyken and his wife Dina; his sisters Dorothy Van Dyken, Linda Weinmann, Laura Frascatore and Missy Van Dyken; and his grandchildren Edward and Jacob Roby, Erica Van Dyken and Kate Kelly.
Dr. Van Dyken resided in Wayne most of his life as did his wife and children. A graduate of Wayne High School, he graduated Williams College and obtained his medical degree in Des Moines, Iowa.
Jacob was a staff member at Chilton Memorial Hospital and served as Medical Director of Wanaque Convalescent Center. He also shared an internal medicine practice with Dr. Richard Scherling.
His love for family and friends; his passion for his work and travel; are only outweighed by his overwhelming love of life.
