Jacqueline Vanderburgh

Jacqueline Perry Vanderburgh, age 87, of Whiting, passed away peacefully on December 20th, 2021. Jackie was born September 6th, 1934 in Newark and grew up in East Orange. A former resident of Wayne, Jackie lived in Pines Lake for 16 years before moving to Montaque and eventually retiring to Whiting.

Jackie was a skilled artist. She earned her Bachelors and Masters Degree in Fine Art from William Paterson University and was a student at esteemed art programs at Yale University and in Venice. Jackie enjoyed helping others find their creativity and hone their art skills. She enriched the lives of her students teaching art at Sussex County Community College and Ocean Community College.

Jackie will be lovingly remembered for her masterful artistry, her spunky sense of humor, and her undeniable love of both learning and teaching creatively. Her memory will live on through the lessons, artistry, strength, and love she shared with everyone she encountered and embodied in her art.

Jackie is survived by her four children; Jill Mulholland, Joyce Mulholland and her husband William Beatty of Greensboro, MD, Joe Mulholland and his wife Silvia of West Milford, Jim Mulholland and his wife Jodi of Wayne, seven grandchildren; Jamey Flaccavento, Michael Mulholland and wife Rebecca, Molly Cichowski and husband Peter, Peter Mulholland, Jake Mulholland, Jordyn Mulholland, and Natalie Mulholland, and great-grandchild McKenzie Mulholland. She also leaves behind her niece; Sue Cavano and husband Ted, and beloved friend Ralph Feliciano and his wife Sabrina.
