Jane Brozowski, age 92, of Wayne passed Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
She was born and raised in Paterson having graduated from Central High School with the Class of 1949. After high school she found work as a secretary in the Engineering Department of P. Ballantine & Sons Brewery in Newark for many years. Following her marriage in 1957 Jane settled in Wayne NJ to start her family. Several years later she decided to put her career on hold and prioritize raising her family. Her commitment and love for her children were unparalleled, and she devoted herself entirely to their upbringing. In the late 1970’s she found herself as a single mother and faced many challenges all of which she overcame. After her sons entered school full-time, she seized the opportunity to reenter the workforce first by joining New Jersey Bank which transitioned into Midlantic Bank which again transitioned into PNC Bank all located in West Paterson. With her return to the professional world, she continued to excel, proving that her dedication and determination were not diminished by her time away. She officially retired in 1998.
Jane was an extraordinary lady who possessed a unique blend of reservedness and love that captivated those around her. While she may have appeared quiet and introspective, those who knew her well understood the depths of her affection and compassion. Though she may not have then the loudest voice in the room, her words carried weight and her actions spoke volumes. Many would consider her to have a strong personality, as she possessed an unwavering determination. In her quiet strength, she faced challenges head-on and fearlessly pursued her goals. Her presence was a testament to the power of inner strength and the impact one can have without raising their voice. For many years she was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Wayne Elks Lodge 2181.
Jane was dedicated to her Catholic faith and played a pivotal role as a founding member of Our Lady of the Valley Church in Wayne. Her dedication, unwavering faith, and tireless efforts have left an indelible mark on our community. As one of the pioneers who helped shape the foundation of the church, she has been instrumental in fostering a sense of belonging and spiritual growth for all who enter its doors.
She was the beloved mother of John Brozowski and his wife Darlene of Warwick, NY and Gary Brozowski and his wife Lisa of Wayne; she was the cherished grandmother of Julia and Hannah Brozowski, Casey and Kelly Brozowski, Dylan and Emma Diplas. Jane was predeceased by her three brothers Steven, Walter and George Podgorski.
