Jayne Deborah Schneider age 89 of Pompton lakes passed away peacefully on Thursday April 30, 2015.
Jayne was born in Bloomingdale and lived in Pompton Lakes for most of her life. She was an office nurse for Dr. Samuel Bernson & Dr. David Berk in Pompton Lakes for 10 years before retiring in 1955. She would then devote herself to raising her 4 children.
She was an active member of the 1St Reformed Church in Pompton Plains and was a member of the Newark Pompton Choir. She was also a member of the Women’s Consistory and the Elder Guild as well.
Jayne is survived by her daughter Deborah Priestner and her husband James of Pompton Lakes; her son Thomas Schneider and his wife Mary of Pompton Lakes; and 4 grandchildren Carly, Matthew, Brittany, and Janelle. She was pre-deceased by her husband William Schneider in 1981, her son William Schneider Jr. in 2002, also her daughter Marilyn Winfield in 2000, and her sister Joan Rando in 2012.
