Joan W. Verrone, age 69, of Wayne, passed peacefully in the comfort of her own home on Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Her family stood by in loving support at the time of her passing.
She and her husband Nick have lived in Wayne for forty two years. Joan was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her beloved family and there wasn’t anything else in the world she wanted or needed but each of them. She was the consummate mom who became involved with all her children’s school activities and she continued to do the same with her grandchildren. Joan was an animal lover who always had at least one dog in the house, usually a few cats, and she loved to ride horses. She enjoyed annual vacations to Hunter Mountain, NY skiing with her family, and the Jersey Shore was a summer tradition. Joan was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Valley RC Church in Wayne for many years and devoted to her Catholic faith.
Joan is survived by her husband of forty eight years; Nicholas of Wayne, her daughter; Linda Bonilla and her husband Adam of Wayne, a son; Mark Verrone and his wife Christine of Kennesaw, GA, four grandchildren; Cayla and Jenna Verrone of GA, and Nick and AJ Bonilla of Wayne, and one sister; Carol in NC.
