Services

Friends may visit with the family on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11 AM at Saint Timothy Evangelical Lutheran Church, 395 Valley Rd., Wayne.

A Masonic Service will be held on Tuesday evening at 8 PM.

Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.

John H. Schulze age 72 of Wayne died Friday, November 17, 2006 at the Saint Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne while surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Hackensack and lived in Maywood and Paterson before moving to Wayne forty-four years ago.

Mr. Schulze was a second level Manager for the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company, Totowa where he worked for thirty-nine years before retiring in 1991.

He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Schulze was a member of Saint Timothy Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wayne.

John was a dedicated thirty-nine year volunteer for the Wayne P.A.L., Wayne where he previously served on the Board of Directors. He also was a volunteer for the United Way for many years.

Mr. Schulze was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Euclid Lodge 136, Hasbrouck Heights and the Scottish Rite Valley of Northern New Jersey, Lincoln Park where he attained the rank of Thirty-Third Degree Mason, was a Past Master and Right Worshipful. He was the recipient of the Distinguished Daniel Cox Medal and a member of the George Washington Association for Masons of New Jersey, the Demolay Legion of Honor and a Past Thrice Potent Master.

He was a founder and Chairman of the Board of the Hasbrouck Heights Masonic Learning Center for Children, Hasbrouck Heights.

Beloved husband of forty-nine and a half years to Irene (nee Muschko) Schulze; loving father of Judy Beasley of Stockholm, Diane Christiano and her husband Ken of Hampton, John R. Schulze and his wife Joann of Little Egg Harbor and Karen Schulze of Wayne; much loved brother of Robert Schulze and his wife Ruth of Montvale, Dorothea Aldridge of Hillsdale and the late Mildred Michielsen(1992); cherished grandfather of eight grandchildren Caitlyn, Alyssa and Dayton Beasley, Quinton, Danielle and Alexis Christiano, Brittany and Anastasia Schulze.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Hasbrouck Heights Masonic Learning Center for Children, 301 Division Ave., Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604 would be appreciated.
