He also served as chairman of the Ethics District XI and was a longtime member of the Upper Montclair Country Club where he served on the Board of trustees and chaired the Membership and Golf Committee.
Surviving are Jacks beloved wife Pat – with whom he shared 48 years of wonderful memories; two sons who brought him constant joy and pride: Michael of Raleigh, NC, and Mark of Woodland Park; his grandson Jake – the apple of this eye and who he played so many basketball and baseball tournaments with, some of which Jake let Grandpa win; his brother Dennis and wife Carole Byrne; his sister Nancy and husband Tom Cullivan; brother and sister-in-laws: Richard and Margo Werner, Robert and Judi Werner, and Lenore and Patrick Noble, with whom he shared so many wonderful memories; and his treasured nieces and nephews: Matt, Tim, Adam, Patrick, Sian, Michelle, D.J., and David.
Jack loved his Packanack Lake Community for over 44 years coaching his sons and successfully fund raising as President of the PLAA through block parties and Christmas dances. He loved golfing with his buddies: Jim, Joe, and Lou, and many other treasured friends, watching Yankees and Giants games, and all things Irish – especially Notre Dame!
