Friends may visit with the family at Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne on Wednesday, September 21 from 4-7pm. Funeral Services will be held 9:30 AM on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from the funeral home then a 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church, 580 Ratzer Road, Wayne.
Interment will be in Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
John S. (Jack),Jacobchick, age 88, of Wayne for fifty-five years, passed Wednesday, September 14, 2016.

Born in Avoca, PA, John was a Customer Service Engineer for the Univac Corporation in New York City which merged with Burroughs Corp to become Unisys Corporation in Blue Bell, PA. He worked there for thirty-four years before retiring in 1986.
John was devoted to his Catholic faith and was a member of Holy Cross RC Church and then Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church both in Wayne where he also sung with the choir. He served his faith as a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 6354 and was a 4th Degree Knight with the Monsignor Stein Assembly in West Paterson.
He was active in his community having belonged to the American Legion Post# 174, Wayne Elks Lodge 2181, the Golden Age Circle of Wayne, the Mountain View Chapter of the Golden Key, past president of the North Jersey Operetta Guild, and served as a Boy Scout Leader with Troop #106.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary (Allenfort) Jacobchick, his devoted children John W. Jacobchick and his wife Linda of Towaco, Maribeth Smialek and her husband John of Kinnelon, Catherine Ann Kasley and her husband Paul of Rutherford, his cherished grandchildren Ryan and Marc Jacobchick, Ashley and John Smialek, Kimberly Kasley, and his dear sister Dorothy Loyas of Goshen, NY. He was predeceased by his parents John J. Jacobchick and Mary C. (Derenoski) Jacobchick.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Wayne Elks Lodge 2181, 50 Hinchman Ave, Wayne, NJ 07470 or Knights of Columbus Council 6354, PO Box 282, Little Falls, NJ 07424 would be appreciated.
