Joseph Paul LaBruna, 75, of Wayne, passed to eternal life on Sunday, February 26, 2023, with the comfort and care of his loving family at his side. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph F. LaBruna and Lillian Baron.

Joseph was the loving husband of Nana Bordonaro LaBruna for 53 years, beloved father to Danielle (Patrick) DeVarso, and adored grandfather to Leonardo and Adaline DeVarso. He is also survived by his dear sister Joan Adams and brother Barry LaBruna. In addition, survived by his childhood best friend and brother-in-law, Thomas Saunders, sister-in-law, Rosemarie Saunders, brother-in-law, Paul Bordonaro, and his wife Gail, as well as several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews. Joseph was blessed with a family he loved deeply.

Joseph’s professional career started as a paper boy and developed into a career in sales for many years. His ability to start and continue a conversation with anyone made him a natural. His love of new innovations and ideas made him successful in computer sales and technology. His last business venture was the sale and development of uninterrupted power sources.

Throughout his long career, Joseph treasured the many wonderful and long-lasting friendships he made along the way. If Joseph was in the room, he made his presence known. He was fun and loved being with people and they loved being with him.

Joseph was a proud veteran of the United States Army having served and been wounded in Vietnam. He loved his country and never mailed a letter without writing

“God Bless America” on the envelope. Family and country were his great loves.

In lieu of flowers donations to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959, or Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306 would be greatly appreciated.
