Joyce Doyle

Wayne

Joyce A. Doyle passed away on April 17, 2020 of aspiration pneumonia.

Joyce was born in Kearny, New Jersey to Robert and Margaret McCombs. She was raised in Bloomfield, New Jersey with her brother Robert and sister Margaret McCombs.

In high school, Joyce met and later married Thomas Nych. The couple moved to Byram, New Jersey and started Lockwood Farms Garden Center. They ran the business together until they were divorced. While married, Joyce and Thomas had two loving children, Brenda and Steven Nych.

Joyce later met and married Walter Doyle, and moved to Wayne, New Jersey. She helped Walter build his family business which supplied the metal finishing industry. Joyce loved to travel with Walter both for business and pleasure. Their business travel took them through the Midwest, Northeast, Southeast, Texas and California. She also enjoyed spending many happy days at their family apartment in St. Marten.

Joyce is survived by her husband Walter of 31 years, daughter Brenda Brailey and her husband Ron, and Steven Nych and his wife Gabriella. She also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Jesse and Crystal Brailey and Natalia Nych. Joyce also leaves behind a second family from her husband Walter Doyle, a stepson Brian Doyle and his fiancé Kristee Nyugen and Jennifer Doyle and her husband Christopher Wilson. She had 3 step grandchildren: Connor and Lucas Doyle and Charles Wilson.

Joyce spent considerable time in hospitals over the years. Her esophagus had to be replaced when she was 39. Although it saved her life at the time, she would later experience many bouts of pneumonia from reflux and the resulting aspiration into her lungs.

In spite of all of her medical problems, Joyce had a wonderful outlook on life. She lived it one day at a time and loved to shop. She had excellent taste in clothing and enjoyed finding designer clothes on sale. She took pride in her appearance and made sure her clothes matched and were color coordinated from head to toe, a lesson she learned well from her aunt Millie. She also enjoyed spending time decorating their home. Joyce loved animals and her two yorkie’s Spike and Sabrina will surely miss her greatly.

Joyce will be remembered most for her beautiful smile, great sense of humor and most of all her love and concern for her family. Donations can be made in her memory to the ASPCA and St. Jude’s Childrens Hospitals.
