Friends may visit with the family from 4-8pm on Friday, September 15, 2023, at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Rd, Wayne, NJ. Funeral services will be held 8am on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the funeral home, then to St Mary's RC Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes, where at 9am a funeral mass will be celebrated. Interment will be in Christ the King Cemetery 980 Huron Rd, Franklin Lakes, NJ.
Kevin Joseph Naudts, age 73, of Wayne passed away peacefully on Monday, September 11, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Kevin was born in Paterson, New Jersey to Alfred and Elizabeth (nee McCabe) Naudts.
He attended Saint Mary’s High School in Paterson, New Jersey and graduated in 1967. He continued his education at Ramapo College of New Jersey in Mahwah and graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business.
Kevin started his career in the retail industry. Upon the completion of his B.S. Degree, his chosen profession was Internet Technology, where he remained for 27 years. The majority of his time was with Bank of America Securities in New York City. After retirement in 2014, he enjoyed working as a School Crossing Guard and for Security at Pines Lake, where he was a resident for over 35 years.
Kevin was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending his days in his kayak. He was happy to share his passions and did so by frequently writing articles for “On the Water” and “The Fisherman” magazines. He loved the outdoors and being surrounded by nature. He had an easy-going personality and was a friend to everyone he met. His greatest accomplishment was being “Papa” to his three grandchildren, Jonathan, McKayla, and Cassidy.
Kevin met the love of his life, Carolyn, in 1972 through mutual friends. They were married at Saint Anne’s Church in Fair Lawn, New Jersey on April 16, 1977. They shared a beautiful life together for 51 years and were blessed with two beautiful daughters.
Kevin is survived by his wife Carolyn (nee Rudolph) Naudts; his brother John Naudts and wife Joan; his daughter Kaitlin (nee Naudts) Dobiesz and husband Michael; his daughter Megan (nee Naudts) Bruno and husband Joseph; grandchildren Jonathan, McKayla, and Cassidy Dobiesz, as well as many other cherished family members and friends who will greatly miss him. Kevin was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Elizabeth Naudts, his sister Colleen Pina, and his brother Sonny Naudts.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
