Services

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, September 14, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2007, 9:30 AM at the funeral home.

Entombment will be in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.

Lena Ferraro(nee DiMartino) age 97 of Brick, formerly of Fair Lawn, died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at home.

She was born in Paterson and lived in Fair Lawn before moving to Brick fifteen years ago.

Mrs. Ferraro was a school teacher for the Paterson Board of Education for over twenty years having retired in 1965.

She was a parishioner of Saint Anne’s RC Church, Fair Lawn and more recently Saint Dominics RC Church, Brick.

Lena had a love of traveling, gardening and was a terrific cook. She will be remembered for being extremely independent, family oriented and very social.

She was a member of the NEA, NJEA, Ocean County Medical Associates, Passaic and Ocean County Retired Teachers Assoc., the Columbiettes and the Cosmos Club of Fair Lawn.

She was predeceased by her first husband Thomas Ferraro(1980) and her second husband John Insinga(1995); one sister Josephine Panebianco(1997), one nephew Carmen Panebianco(1992) and one great-nephew Vincent Pagano(2007).

Beloved aunt of Rosa Linda Albora and her husband Frank of Wayne; cherished great-aunt of Joseph Panebianco and his wife Cynthia of Wyckoff, Lillian Pagano of Paramus, Jina Panebianco of Santa Monica, CA and Cara Shaw and her husband Ben of Raleigh, NC; she was greatly loved by many cousins and great-great nieces and nephews.
