Friends may visit with the family from 4-8PM on Thursday April 20, 2017 at the VanderMay Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Rd, Wayne, NJ.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday April 21 at 9:30 at the funeral home then to Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church in Wayne where at 10:30 a funeral mass will be celebrated.
Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair.
Lillian D. Maltese, age 96 of Passaic passed away peacefully on Friday April 14, 2017 while receiving the loving care of her family.
Lillian was born, raised, and was a life-long resident of Passaic. Lil worked for a short time in the garment industry as a seamstress, but after her marriage to her husband Michael Maltese in 1943 she became a full time homemaker, which she devoted herself to the rest of her life.
Lil was a parishioner of St Anthony’s RC Church in Passaic for many years, was also a member of the church’s Sacred Heart Society, and was the chairperson for the Bingo Organization at church as well. She was devoted to her faith and family alike and cherished 40 years of marriage with her husband Michael.
Lillian is survived by her three daughters, Lucille Tambe and her husband Richard of Bradenton, FL, Virginia Gayo and her husband Lou of Doylestown, PA, and Michele Maltese of Passaic, three grandchildren; Richard, Jennifer, and Manny, and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Michael Maltese in 1983, as well as her five brothers; Thomas, Joseph, Karl, Alfred, and Henry “Rico” Riotto.
