Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM on Friday, June 1, 2012 at the funeral home.
Lisa Bateson age 32 of Lake Hopatcong died peacefully on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at St. Claire’s Hospital in Denville.
She was born at Chilton Hospital in Pompton Plains and was raised in Pompton Lakes. She graduated from Pompton Lakes High School with the Class of 1997 and continued her education having graduated from Roman Academy in Hawthorne. Lisa has lived in Lake Hopatcong for the past three years.
Lisa worked alongside her mother and brother at ECI Conference Call services in Wayne for five years where she was responsible for operating and running large scale investor relation calls for companies among the likes of Bear Sterns and Goldman Sachs. Lisa took great pride in her job while there and loved the many people she worked with. Lisa met many friends while working at ECI and it was great to see so many people come to visit her while in the hospital. ECI was eventually bought out by another company and Lisa moved on to work in the family business at McKenna’s Pub in Lake Hopatcong.
She loved the outdoors and enjoyed going to the beach, camping, and fishing. Lisa was such a fun, outgoing, caring person. She loved to laugh and have a good time. She loved her family more than anything. Being there for them was the most important thing in Lisa’s life. She loved people, but more importantly, she loved helping people. She always thought of others before herself. She was there for anyone, no matter the time or place. If you needed her, she was there. This is just who Lisa was. She had a heart of gold. Her smile is something that will always be remembered. Lisa will be deeply missed by all.
Lisa was predeceased by both of her parents, Robert Bateson and Lindy McKenna. She was the loving daughter of Robert McKenna of Lake Hopatcong, and loving sister of Robert Bateson and his wife Joslyn Bateson of Hamburg, Kimberly Bateson and her husband Dean Mamakos of Wayne; loved granddaughter of Janny Nitschelm of Pompton Lakes and her late husband Albert; devoted niece of Yvonne Micholas of Pompton Lakes and Mike Micholas of Manchester; dear cousin of Michael and Michele Micholas. Lisa loved and was loved by everyone in our family.
