Mae H. Maccia (nee Zazzella) age 79 of Wayne died Sunday, June 24, 2007 at the Llanfair House Nursing Home in Wayne. Her passing was quiet and peaceful after a long and lingering battle with many afflictions.
She was born in Haledon in the same home she lived in for seventy-eight years before moving to Wayne this year.
Mrs. Maccia was an office worker at the Bible Warehouse in Wayne before her retirement.
She was a member of the Bloomingdale Veterans of Foreign Wars Post Ladies Auxiliary.
Her only brother Louis Zazzella recalls that she was a “good and loving sister” all of her life. That she was always a very shy personality that enjoyed sharing humor with others.
Mae married John Maccia late in life, at age fifty, and they had a good and loving marriage for twelve years until John’s passing in 1990.
Surviving are one brother Louis Zazzella and his wife Elizabeth of Wayne; one niece Linda Zazzella of Wayne; one nephew Michael Zazzella and his wife Debra of Vernon.
