Magdalena “Maggie” Reinhardt Speziale age 51 of Wayne passed peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014.
Maggie was born in Wayne, the daughter of the late Francis and Gloria Reinhardt.
She graduated from Wayne Valley High School with the Class of 1981. On October 27, 1985 she was married to her lifelong love, Jerry Speziale. The two met when Maggie was fourteen years old and Jerry was seventeen. Jerry followed Maggie around Wayne Hills Mall until she agreed to go out with him. Their first date was Maggie riding shotgun in Jerry’s tow truck and they soon fell in love. They married on October 27, 1985 at St. Mary’s Church in Pompton Lakes and honeymooned on the island of Maui in Hawaii after a reception at North Jersey Country Club. They have enjoyed twenty eight years of a marriage that is best described as: passionate, first love, childhood sweethearts.
Maggie was a kind, sweet, selfless person who was funny, tough as nails, beautiful inside and out, loved sports, and was a huge New York Yankee Fan. She had been politically active and was always proud of having been elected as State Delegate for the Democratic Party of Passaic County. She was a great cook and loved to get ideas from watching the Food Network. Her special touch on pasta, and chicken cutlets breaded with Panko breadcrumbs will be greatly missed. Most of all Maggie was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She selflessly devoted herself to her family and was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren taking great pride in their accomplishments. She also loved her special Bichon Oreo. He stayed by her side, staring at her all day long, and always let her know how much she was loved.
Maggie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves behind her husband Jerry, three children; Francesca, Jerry, and Paige, as well as her two granddaughters; Madison, and Adriana, and son-in-law, Walter Richmond; she was the loving sister of John, Charles and Steven Reinhardt.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Susan G Komen Foundation, 44 Middle Ave., Summit, NJ 07901 would be appreciated.
