Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne.
A funeral service will be offered immediately following visitation and will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Michael J. Tarantino left this life on August 24, 2023.
He was born in Paterson NJ on July 21,1961 and grew up in Totowa. Then, he moved to Wayne in June 1990.
He was employed by the Township of Wayne until his retirement in 2019.
Michael is survived by his parents John and Alice Tarantino, his wife Cyndi and children Tamara (Bob Ventimiglia) and Michael (Samantha Fleming). He is also survived by his sister Joanne Keeler (Keith), his in-laws, and a number of nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased by his grandparents, his sister in law, and his dog Hercules, whom he missed every day.
Michael was a lifelong, die-hard Giants fan, and a huge Queen fan. He loved to cook and shared his passion for cooking with his kids. He was the keeper of all useless information, and also could quote various movies. He could remember small, random facts about a vast number of subjects to his own delight. He also loved his favorite place, Lake Placid, NY and found his safe haven there.
He will be taken to his favorite place to be scattered in the wind, the way he wanted, at a later date.
May Michael finally find the peace in Heaven that he couldn’t find on earth. Sleep well with Jesus and the angels, Michael.
