Miranda Maieroni Baruth age 73 of Arvada, CO., formerly of Wayne died November 6, 2006 while receiving the loving care of her family.

She was born in Cairo, Egypt and came to this country in 1957 settling in Annapolis, MD having lived in Staten Island, NY, Brooklyn, NY and Wayne, NJ before moving to Arvada, Colorado two years ago.

She graduated from the Maria Auslia Trice Italian School, Cairo, Egypt with the class of 1951 and continued her education at the Technical Comercio School, Cairo, Egypt with the class of 1955.

Mrs. Baruth was a Certified Public Accountant employed on Wall Street, NY, NY before becoming a full time, loving and dedicated mother.

Miranda was Miss Orient - 1952 in Cairo, Egypt and participated in Track & Field events at the National Mediterranean Games held in Cairo, Egypt. She belonged to the Newspaper Guild, YMCA, Exxon Tennis Club, Shell Swimming Club and the Wayne Valley Band Parents Association, Wayne.

Her hobbies included gardening, traveling, horseback riding, fencing, fishing, swimming, painting, cooking and animals. She loved cats and had many throughout her life. Her favorite cat was named Moosetta.

Mamma, Mirandina or Parental Unit, as she was lovingly known, spoke six languages and was a woman of adventurous spirit with a hint of mischievousness. She loved to have fun and loved to be around people. She had a passion for travel and learning. Her love of learning is evidenced by the fact that she used to read the dictionary for fun. She always looked for resolution and did not quit until she had an answer she was happy with. She was the original "out of the box" thinker.

Mamma was extremely committed to her daughters and was insistent on their success. She was very strict but fair and the ultimate example of honesty and fair judgment. She was honest, forthright and told you when she didn't agree with something. She always looked for the best in people. She loved flowers and always said it was amazing that something so beautiful could come from the dirt. She loved the holidays, family tradition and preparing six course family dinners.

Beloved mother of Marilena Flynn and her husband Edward of Golden, CO and Colette Baruth and her loving companion Ken of Wayne; cherished grandmother of Kelsey, Arielle, Kenny and Marina; much loved sister of the late Giovanni Adriano Maieroni, Rugiero Romolo Maieroni and Adriana Norma Regina Podolak.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to PATCH Pet Adoptions for Caring Hands, 26 Lakeside Ave., Pompton Lakes, NJ 07442 or the Salesian Missions, 2 Lefevre Lane, PO Box 30, New Rochelle, NY 10802-0030 would be appreciated.
