Nan I. Scott (nee Inglis) age 87 of Wayne died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at the Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Plains.
She was born in Kingston, New York and had lived in Wayne for sixty-seven years.
Mrs. Scott received her formal education at Kingston High School in Kingston, New York graduating with the Class of 1937. She then went to the Briarcliff Manor Finishing School to complete her education.
She was a founding member of the Packanack Community Church in the Packanack Lake section of Wayne.
Mrs. Scott was a very talented artist and painted many beautiful oil paintings of landscapes, portraits and animals.
Nan leaves her family with many fond memories of a very loving and dedicated mother and grandmother.
James and Nan had a ‘caring and loving marriage” together for sixty-eight years.
Surviving are her loving husband James; one daughter Beth Katz of California; two sons James Scott and his wife Josephine of Milford, New Jersey, Peter Scott and his wife Fredlyn of Waringston, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren Leah Katz, Dawn Ross and Adrianna Scott; one great grandchild Caleb Ross.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne.
