Paul N. Rosa, age 76, of Hackettstown, NJ, passed away on July 31, 2023, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Paul was born on November 13, 1946, to Lawrence and Theresa Rosa in Passaic, NJ. Paul graduated from Passaic High School in 1965, he went on to study at William Penn College where he graduated in 1969 with a BA Degree in Sociology. After graduating college, Paul served in the US Army as a Specialist 5 Sargent from 1970 to 1971 and Honorably Discharged in 1971. After serving his country, Paul received his master’s degree in 1980 from William Paterson College with a degree in Urban Education/Community Affairs.

Paul started his working career in 1972 with the Superior Court Of New Jersey. Paul worked in several divisions in his 30-year career assisting attorneys and judges with pre-trial services. The New Jersey Supreme Court appointed Paul to direct and coordinate pre-trial intervention services for the Supreme Court Criminal Division. He was well respected by attorneys, judges, and his peers. Paul retired in 2002. 

Paul is survived by his wife Gail (Nolan) Rosa. Paul and Gail met in 1983 and married in 1988. Paul and Gail’s marriage was blessed with three children, Christopher Rosa, his wife Paula of Hackettstown, NJ. William Taylor, his wife Kelly of Bradenton, FL. Michael Taylor and his wife Amanda of Wake Forest, NC. Paul was also blessed with nine grandchildren, Grant, and Gavin Rosa. Gracie, Mia, Brayden, and Casey Taylor. Michael, Aiden, and Avery Taylor.

Paul was predeceased by his father, Lawrence Rosa and survived by his mother Theresa (DiDonna) Rosa. 

Paul enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, relatives, and especially his cousins. He also cherished his time with his grandchildren. Paul enjoyed many trips with Gail to the Florida Keys, fishing trips to the Jersey Shore, attending Yankees and Giants games with his sons, old time movies and The Honeymooners. Paul was loyal to his wife, family, and friends. His sense of humor was enjoyed by everyone who met him.
