Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, October 9, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Montclair.
Richard T. Hagen age 78 of Wayne died Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains.
He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY having lived in Montclair and Cedar Grove before moving to Wayne forty-four years ago.
Mr. Hagen attended Georgia Tech, Atlanta and the Newark College of Engineering, Newark.
He was a Navy Veteran of WWII where he served as a pilot.
Mr. Hagen was a sales manager for Trend Motors, Rockaway where he worked for twenty-one years before retiring in 1991. He was a man who had a nice way with people and loved his work; one year was awarded Master Sales Manager of North America for Volkswagen of America.
He will be remembered by his family as a man who loved his family, boating, fishing, oil panting and his work.
Beloved husband of fifty-five years to Aileen (nee McDermott) Hagen; loving father of Lynn Stikna of Lincoln Park, Richard T. Hagen and his wife Barbara of Clifton and Glenn C. Hagen and his wife Maureen C. of Denville; brother of Joan Tassely and her husband Raymond of Diamond Point, NY; cherished grandfather of eight grandchildren the late Christine Stikna(1975), Eric and Rebecca Stikna, Amy Fitzpatrick and her husband Damian, Paul, Beth, Kerri and Dane Hagen and two great-grandchildren Jessica and Jeremy Fitzpatrick.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, New York, NY 10163 would be appreciated
