Salvatore Kleinow, age 41, of Pompton Lakes died Monday, September 24, 2007 at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Plains, after a courageous battle with cancer. His passing was quiet and peaceful with his loved ones present at his bedside.
Sal was born and raised in Paterson, lived Clifton and West Paterson before moving to Pompton Lakes four years ago. Sal was a Parishioner of Saint Mary’s RC Church in Pompton Lakes. Sal was a Computer Engineer, employed by Quikteks Computer Systems Support Group in Fairfield. He received his formal education at Passaic County Vocational High School. Sal's talents with computers, lead him to continue his education in the computer field, where he earned multiple certifications over the last decade.
Among Sal's joys were riding his ATV with his family, snowmobiling, and vacationing with his daughter, including trips to Disney World. Sal was also proud of his collection of beer steins that his late grandfather began collecting and Sal took over.
Fatherhood brought Sal the greatest joy of his life, as he loved his daughter Krystina with all of his heart.
Julie and Sal were best friends. Their marriage exemplified their true love for each other. Sal readily reached out to others with a generous spirit, especially when he saw others in need. Sal was a truly selfless person. He was well loved by all who knew him and will remain in our hearts forever.
Sal was predeceased by his father Walter, in 1990 and his brother Johnny, in 1991. Surviving are his cherished daughter Krystina Kleinow of Wantage and Pompton Lakes; his beloved wife Julie DiDomenico-Kleinow of Pompton Lakes; loving mother Patricia Kleinow of Clifton; sister Kathy LeBron of Paterson, brothers Karl Kleinow of Clifton, Walter Kleinow of Wayne; son in law of Tony and Andrea DiDomenico of Clifton; brother in law of Anthony DiDomenico of Wayne and Andrew DiDomenico of Hackensack.
