A Memorial Mass will be held 9:30 AM on Friday, July 6, 2007 at Our Lady of the Valley RC Church, 630 Valley Road, Wayne. At the conclusion of the Memorial Mass representatives of the US Navy are scheduled to present Military Honors, including Taps and the presentation of the United States Flag, to the family.
Stanley M. Wos, Jr. age 79 of Wayne, formerly of Franklin Lakes, died Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Saint Josephs Wayne Hospital, Wayne.
He was born and raised in Paterson, and lived in Franklin Lakes for twenty-five years, before moving to Wayne.
He graduated from Central High School, Paterson with the class of 1945.
He was an US Navy veteran of WWII having served as, and Honorably Discharged as, an aviation storekeeper second class.
Mr. Wos was a Senior Draftsman for the Singer-Kearfott Corporation, Totowa for thirty-two years having retired in 1988.
He was a member of the Golden Age Circle of Wayne.
He is fondly remembered as having a sharp wit, generous and kind hearted; loving golf, bingo, bowling(once bowled a 298 game), crossword puzzles and five o’clock happy hour.
Beloved father of Patricia Lynch and her husband Tom of Wyckoff, Michael Wos and his wife Terry of Oakland and Barbara Vander Wiele and her husband Andy of North Haledon; cherished grandfather of Kaileen Lynch, Jason and Taylor Wos and Andrew and Jack Vander Wiele; and one brother Edward Wos of Florida.
