Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 1 PM at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne.
Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 2-5, 7-9 PM.
Interment will be in Laurel Grove Memorial Park in Totowa.
Sylvia Sidebottom (nee Maslow) age 84 of Pompton Lakes died Saturday, October 07, 2006 at home. She passed away quietly and peacefully while receiving the loving care of her family.
She was born in New York City and had lived in Paterson before moving to Pompton Lakes fifty-four years ago.
Mrs. Sidebottom was a Bakery Clerk at the Shop Rite Supermarket in Oakland for fourteen years.
Her family will always have fond memories of a very dedicated and loving Mother. “Mom was always there for us in every way. She was a twenty four/ seven Mother who always made her home a loving place to gather for her family. Mom was the best cook in the whole world who made all our holidays special”.
Surviving are three daughters Arlene Manganello and her husband Ronald of Wanaque, Claire Gemeinhardt of North Haledon and Eileen DeRosa of Montville; six Grandchildren Scott Gemeinhardt and his wife Kim, Mark Gemeinhardt and his wife Mary, Ronald, Rachel and Jamie Manganello and George Sidebottom; two Great Grandchildren Ashia and Jonathon Gemeinhardt.
Her husband of fifty-four years George L. Sidebottom predeceased her in 1994 and her son George Sidebottom died in 1998.
