Services
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at 8 AM from the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, 567 Ratzer Road, Wayne then to Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church, Wayne where at 9 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered.
Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4, 7-9 PM.
Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Veronica Petkovich (nee Petty) age 86 of Wayne died Friday, September 15, 2006 at the Saint Josephs Wayne Hospital in Wayne.
She was born in Wilpen, Pennsylvania and had lived in Hoboken, Weehawken, Whiting, Rutherford and New Milford before moving to Wayne ten years ago.
Veronica was a parishioner of the Immaculate Heart of Mary RC Church in Wayne.
She was the New York Mets number one baseball fan and would often be seen crocheting a gift for someone.
Her family is left with fond memories of a very dedicated and loving mother. She showered love and caring on her children and grandchildren.
Kuzma and Veronica had forty-one years of “devoted and loving” marriage together before Kuzma’s passing in 1987.
Surviving are two sons John J. Petkovich and his wife Deborah of Wayne, Frank M. Petkovich and his wife Sally of New Milford; one brother Frank Petty and his wife Anne of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren Mark, Amanda and Jack Petkovich.
Her sister Ann Lechner predeceased her. She is also predeceased by five brothers and two other sisters.
Also survived by three grand dogs Lily, Snug and Mork.
